Welcome to The W.R.I.T.E. Society!
We all know how hard it is to fit writing into our daily schedules. We've got responsibilities, we've got commitments, work, families. There are all sorts of things that get in our way to stop us from really writing.
Sometimes we feel we can't do that without alienating friends, family and colleagues, and without being overwhelmed.
I'm here to tell you that it is possible, that you can do that, and this is what The W.R.I.T.E. Society will help you to do.
a community (not on Facebook) where you can learn, connect, and progress in a way that is not pressured and doesn't add stress to already full lives
accountability to help keep you on track, where you can ask questions, share experiences, a safe space to create with people who 'get you,' who get what is is to be a writer
something that is affordable, accessible, and flexible to meet your needs
whatever the reason you write, you don't need to do it alone.
I help frustrated writers get through writer's block, lack or loss of purpose or confusion as to how they see themselves as a writer to finally write consistently and with confidence. So you're never stuck looking at a blank page with nothing to say.
I'm about the simple process, non-prescriptive, because there isn't one style that fits all writers all of the time. I provide a toolbox to draw from so that you always have the right tool to get or keep you writing.
And it's also about perspective, that writing and being a writer is much more than just words on a page.
It's also about being honest in the time you have available, so you can establish a realistic practice that is aligned with real-life demands.
It's about taking care of the creative spirit, we'll talk about and explore all that and more in The W.R.I.T.E. Society Membership
Members can drop in to the cafe-style calls two live open Q&A zoom chats with me per month (coffee, tea, cakes and biscuits always encouraged) with any writerly, publishing and bookish questions. You can stay for the whole hour and meet and learn from other questions, or just stay to ask your question then head off. It's about what works for you.
Plus
You'll have access to a helpful resource bank of info to support member questions and be able to watch a replay of the calls via the private membership area in
'The Library of Useful Things'.
Plus
Two live co-writing sessions per month
Monthly membership is just £33 per month with no tie in. You can cancel at any time...but I really don't think that you'd want to!
So, to recap, for around £1 per day, each month you can access
- two member-exclusive calls. Ask anything writerly and bookish, share challenges, successes and experiences. Use our collective hive-mind 'Idea Lab' to develop a plot point, a marketing strategy, or get recommendations.
- tips and training to help you implement a simple, powerful, sustainable writing process via bi-weekly email and private podcast.
- member only co-writing sessions via Zoom
Take a deep breath of purpose when you sit down to write and get yourself from pen to page, and on to published - if that's what you want - without losing the plot.
